With a string of releases on Plug Research, Hefty, Tigerbeat 6, and Eastern Development,
Daedelus has refined a style that has no imitators. Contrasting IDM styled cut-ups with
childlike arrangements from the 30s and 40s, he has created a sound that is entirely
new. His productions find the hidden common denominator between modern electronics and
sampled music from days gone by. Recording out of Santa Monica, Daedelus also
incorporates hip-hop into his mix, with guest spots from Busdriver, MF Doom, Absract
Rude, Madlib, and High Priest (Anti-Pop Consortium). His live show, which utilizes a
custom-built sample trigger device and software package, has amazed audiences across the
US, Europe, and Japan and secured his reputation as one of the most exciting producers
in electronic music.

Better known as Caural, Chicago bred musician Zachary Mastoon has established a
production voice that bridges cutting edge electronics with left-field hip-hop. His
releases for Chocolate Industries and expert remix work for a number of cutting edge
indie labels bend beat-based Eastern, Western, live, and electronic music to his own
rules. His elaborate compositions are built from the drums up, adding tiny samples of
disjointed sounds and live instruments to create compositions that are both structured
and organic. An accomplished performer, Caural utilizes drum and music triggers,
turntables, samplers, and a sea of effects to recreate his compositions live. The tight
beats, deliberate sequencing, heavy bass, and subtle jazz touches that are instrumental
to his work are similar to those of Four Tet, Prefuse 73, and Daedelus, but distinct
enough to have established Caural as a producer with a signature sound.

Composer of mercurial soundtracks for uncertain times, Thavius Beck conjoins various
strains of electronic music to arrive at a daringly ambitious sound. He has received
recognition in The Wire, Spin, and Urb for his solo releases under the moniker Adlib,
the Labwaste project with fellow LA artist Subtitle, his early work with Global
Phlowtations, numerous guest appearances, and touring in support of Saul Williams. An
exceptional programmer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist, Thavius Beck’s many talents
allow him to take a song from idea to completion without ever having to leave his
cluttered studio. Uncompromising vision and an ear for the unusual are staples of this
writer/producer’s work.
